Good evening guys. I stopped in to my local Advance Auto parts to day to overhear a conversation on Dexicool versus the normal "Green" coolant we are used to. A gentleman explained that a mechanic at his dealership advised him to dump the Dexicool for normal coolant. Does anyone have recommendations?

Are you referring the GM dex-cool? If you are, do a web search for "Dexcool antifreeze lawsuit" - the guy's mechanic is correct.

I was told that the "Gold" fluid in the SVT Cobra radiator, and intercooler is called Dexicool. Maybe its called another name by Ford. However, I wonder has anyone had problems with this fluid?

no its not called dex cool, its just called gold. motorcraft part number VC-7-B dont mix it with anything else.
