Default 95 Cobra 5-speed transmission issues

Hey All,

My 95 Cobra doesn't want to go into 2nd gear. I took it to some random shot and the mechanic told me I'd probably need a new transmission. Does that make sense to you?

Also, my shocks are completely shot. I obviously need new ones, but I'm thinking I might bebetter off getting something aftermarket like the Tokiko's or something like that. I'm not racing or anythng, but I drive hard. For example, I was doing 100mph over th bay bride yesterday (bad mood, forgive me, but it happens). But the roads in SF are not the smoothest so I'm trying to find something that will support my road rage, but also be comfortable in the city.

Oh yeahmny check engine turns on and off randomly...what's that about?

Thanks,
Rah

My grandfather was a tranny mechanic, and no that doesnt sound right you could just have rebuilt or if its a lot. you can get a TKO500 for like 1800$ or a stronger T5 for $1300. so its up to you.

And yes I like KYB but Tokikos are about the same thing.
