You probably want to strengthen the rear as well with a IRS brace, Bushings, and stronger half-shafts. I've read quite a few articles about broken half-shaft on the 03/04 Cobra. Haven't seen much for the 01 Cobra though. I've also heard more bad reviews than good on the Nitto's. Everyone prefers M/T slicks.

I would so solid axle most of the cobra owners are getting sick of broken rearends plus you can get a whole axle assembly with 32 spline axles and gear choice for way less than the upgraded IRS. Also the ride is really not much of a difference I have a 99 and have been in the IRS and did not really feel any difference from it and a solid axle car with good control arms and shock and spring setup.
