Default Ported blower or 2.6 Kenne Bell

I keep going back and forth. I can't decide whether to port my stock blower or just go ahead and go for the KB. If I just port the stock blower I will save enough money to also get some new cams and valve springs. But if I get the KB I will probably get the cams and springs some time next year.

Has anyone else done this?

So I take it that the KB is better than a Whipple Supercharger?
