Required Mods in order to get 500rwhp on 2004 Cobra??
Hey all,
I am looking to acheive the 500 rwhp in my 04 cobra without porting the s/c. I have SLP x pipe w/cats, loudmouth cat back, MAF with open end filter. I plan on the 2.8 pulley along with the lower pulley set and a tune, but i dont think this is getting me 500 at the wheels. What else is good to do to gain some good power? Thanks

haha good question. Little as possible of course. I dont know, i just want it to be done right. I know i can do a bigger throttle body and some long tubes, but thats about $1400 in parts there, so i was just wondering if there were any more tricks i wasnt thinking about.

dont really know though honestly because i buy parts for a 98 N/A.. get a twin turbo set up like a guy i know and you'll run 10's all day long on a good set of street tires haha
I dont think you can get 500rwhp without a different S/C or nitrous. I would put some nitrous on if it where me. The hsop where my car is at said that 420rwhp is about the limits for one 450 rwhp with a ported blower. That is on a mustang dyno so a little higher on a dyno jet. I believe thats without long tubes.

I dont want to port the blower because eventually i want to swap to a whipple, and it seems like a waste to spend $700 or whatever it is if i'm going to swap them. How long of a process is it for the port though, couple weeks?

well i changed my mind. i took the blower off Sunday and sent it out yesterday for a stage 4 port from steggy. with that, and my added boost, i should make 480-520rwhp.. on a superflow dyno. i think superflow reads between mustang and dynojet but im not really sure.
