Default 2001 svt cobra custom tune

i have a 2001 svt cobra high flow cats bbk x pipe bbk cold air intake slp catback pro 5.0 short shitfer diablosport predator tune.

im getthing it custom tone monday i was on the phone wit outrageous mustang here in jersey well know shop. im getting 3 dyno pulls and it custom tune for my mods. they told me a to a stock cobra dyno at 290 and wit my mods over 300. I know there one of the best shops in nj. i will find out monday if its tru or not i have the dyno sheets

What about torque HP is nothing without torque.

I have an '06 and you should seriously consider changing the gears

Keep us posted on the Dyno results, I wanna see how much HP and Torque it made before and after the Custom tune!
290 Stock is achieved by some 99-01 Cobras while others struggle to reach 270!

how is it they make 290 stock? when stock its said they come 320?!

a 99-04 GT makes 260 stock.(says every book and site u can find

The car manufacturers are talking about horsepower at the crank, while most shops and racers talk about horsepower at the wheels. Because of the power loss through the transmission and rest of the drivetrain the hp at the wheels is less than at the crank by about 15-20%.

320hp @ crank = 270 whp (at the wheels) 15% loss

Those figures are Horsepower at the Crank, the TRUE HP measurement is at the Rear wheels on a Dyno!
Cobras with IRS are gonna have close to a 15% driveline loss!
And FYI that 320 figure was a bear for Ford to reach, it resulted in a recall where the ECU was reflashed and the intake was machined! The way to find out if your car had this work done
is to check the top middle of the alternator, there will be a line of paint on it!

wrong, ONLY the 99 cobras had intake problems and ECU problems. that is why 2000 was skipped for normal cobras. came back with problem fixed in 2001.

i thought everyone knew that? guess not
