I have a 99 Cobra and have found a stock supercharger off of an 03 cobra. What kind of "job" is it to swap onto my car? What kind of other (computer, etc.) mods need to be done?
It shouldn't be too hard to do, just be aware the compression ratio won't stand much more than 7-8 pounds of boost and then it'll get unhappy. A computer tune is a given to compensate for it.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

Actually, he's gonna need a lot of parts, and ingenuity. It'll get $$ very quickly.

Um, no. 16-18psi will be no problem with a good tune and quality parts. The compression is perfectly fine.
What I found was a stock s/c off of an 03 Cobra, so im not real worried about too much boost, I was just wondering about how pricey it might get and how much stuff I will have to have done that I cant do myself.

it's not worth it. Buy yourself a vortech or Novi 2000 blower, and call it a day.

Sure thats a good idea and id love to do that, but I found a good deal on a stock one, and im working with a tight budget. So if I dont go with the stock one, it will be a long while before I can afford to buy a new one.

Dude, you still don't comprehend (a search would have worked too). You need MUCH more than just the blower. All the little knick knacks will cost you more than a total vortech setup will.
OK, thats what I am posting this thread for. That was the original question. So obviously you must know what all it would take to install it on my car.?.? What do you mean by "(a search would have worked too)"? The KB setup I found for my car was literally ten times the cost of this, granted it is complete, but that is what I am trying to figure out... how much will it take to make this a complete kit?????

You're going to be spending ~4k in other parts to make it work. You'll need the entire front 03/04 cobra front drive, you'll need a heat exchanger (better than stock), you'll need a new air inlet to the blower, injectors, MAF, etc.
Again, it's not worth it.
And all of that hassle for a piss poor supercharger.
The search comment was because we are asked these questions about 20 times per month, you'll find your answer if you look back.
Ok, what I found was the blower, plenum, throttle body, maf. stock pulley & a hub that's on the blower for a smaller pulley. & the JLT CAI for $650. It may not be the best supercharger, but I dont even have one now so its better than what ive got. In the long run i know it will cost a lot, but its not one big chunk of money at one time. Like I said, I'm working on a tight budget so if I could buy a little here and a little there it would be better for me.

you obviously don't want to listen, so do as you please. I hope you are a quality fabricator, as it will require some fabrication.
its not that I dont want to listen, I really appreciate the input. I just dont know if you realize my $$$ situation. chances are im not gonna do either way for a long time. Iknow im not able to go KB or Vortech or Novi for a long time... at least not until the car is paid off... I was just thinking no one big chunk of money might be doable. As far as the fabrication part goes thats another reason why I posted this thread, if its not something that will work without making my own parts or anything like that, I dont want to do it. so thanks for the input, dont feel unappreciated.

If your looking for a cheap setup, try to find a used centrifugal blower. There are good deals out there, just be patient, keep looking and the right one will come along. If the 03-04 superchargers were that easy to set-up, you wouldn't see them so cheap!
well, the one I found was from a guy i know that went with a KB setup. but it sounds from everyone like itll be more than is feasable to do so i guess ill let him keep it.

if you have a 99 the super charger from an 03 04 wont even fit because the heads on the 03 an 04 are different from the previous cobra models. pain in the ass if you want to do it though. like mark said not worth. get a procharger dude they kick ass
