There are young people over in China who have to write an essay about that question.

StreetracerDK do you still have 6 inches hanging out of you? What has happened with this lately?

Motor is back from a "real machine shop". Cost was over $3500 (my cost) to have the thing completely torn down, new stainless valves, new probe flycut pistons, new rings, honed, correct bolts, checked for cracks, fix all the RTV'd oil and water galley plugs, etc. etc. etc. Not bad considering the other motor from MBR only had about 10 minutes on it .

Has anyone seen or heard anything from the bozo's at MBR in a while? Are they hiding out under a carpet somewhere? It's hard for me to do anything being in another state but I am not done with them yet.

If I was Tracy McAllister I wouldn't be able to sleep at night. I would be contacting everyone I screwed and making some sort of plans for restitution for both ripping them off as well as the cobbed up shoddy workmanship I did on the few parts he did deliver. But that would be me.

Joe..

Ebay had nothing to do with it in our case. At the time, over 2 years ago, MBR had come highly recommended from several sources. There are good and bad everywhere. Unfortunately this POS spread like a rodent, eBay and elsewhere.

Daaaamnnn...I just read this entire thread for the first time and I feel for you guys. That is totally a $h*tty way to do business (MBR).

I just can't believe some people think it's okay to do that to other people...I mean seriously! Send them used blocks and crappy components when they were paid up front for all the good stuff.

Wrong doesn't even describe it. I wish I could help you all, but, unfortunately, I don't have any connections or anything.

I just hope everyone eventually recovers their funds and gets their engines built by a reputable shop such as MMR or Vette Tech. Bravo to you sir for actually taking care of your customer and even taking on the extra expense yourself when that wasn't warranted because you got screwed as well. That's the type of shop I would want to deal with. Again, bravo to you Joe.

Joe has been good to me, I think If I had tried to do this myself and got screwed like so many others I would've taken the trip down to Virginia and got my money's worth one way or the other. I probably would've went to his house or business and took his personal car.

Its very easy to say that take a trip to Virginia but its not easy for me because I live in Sweden. I dont understand its so easy to do frauds like this in US and nobody can do anything about it. If it was Sweden then I would get my money very. anyway no americans helping me here so I would try to get my money myself.

I totally agree, no one here has supplied any useful information for you to get the ball rolling to resolve this issue. How selfish of us. Maybe we here in the US should put our money together and refund you what you lost.

Are you sure? It might take some time but it wouldn't be a problem.

I haven't read the thread, but if it's an international thing - you're going to have to file suit - an airplane ticket and a letter from a lawyer should cover it - but you'll probably have to come over to sign the docs. If it goes to court, you can expect punitive damages which would cover your costs.

You have to file suit here, as European law does not allow damages, generally.

Just read the whole thread - You may not have to visit, - if you join the class action everyone's talking about. You can correspond with the lawyer via international postal.

Just a thought (dont know about to much of the legal stuff) but could you have the paper work mailed to him and have it sign and seal by a judge near him? Vs. flying to the states and spending all the money and time?

judges near him are of no use.

he can join the class action, and give the attorney "power of attorney" in the case.
