Default 1996 Mustang SVT Tire Width
What is the maximum width I can go on my 1996 stock wheel 16x8 rims? I managed to put 275's on my stock 2002GT rims but my tire guy told me the other day that my stock 245 widths on my 1996 is the widest I can go.

Id looooove to go wider!

Let me know what you guys think.

those cobras have 17x8s and they came from the factory with 255 40 17s

The '94-'95 Cobra's came equipped with that width tire. '96-'98's came with 245/45 17 tires.

And 245's will rub on the front on the inside.
