I am planning on getting 3.90's. I want to get these before i end up buying a ati procharger. Does anyone have suggestions on the gears or should I get a different gear?

3.73 they'll get you moving alot quicker plus they don't wind out on the highway
Are you saying that they will get me moving quicker than the 3.90's or than my stock gears??

I have 3.90s and am very pleased with the performance of them. No, you wont wind out on the highway with 3.90s, they are really not that bad. Plus the difference between 3.73s and 3.90s is very minimal.

At 70mph I run right at 2500 rpms if I remember right (havent seen the interstate in a lil while)

well if they will wind out i don't want to get them. What would be a good gear to go with so it won't wind out?

I dont believe they will wind your car out, but Im not an expert. My dad has a 95 5.0 with 3.73s and it doesnt come close to winding out on the interstate. But like I said Im no expert, you do what you want to, but Im happy with my 3.90s.

I've never had a 5.0, or 3.90's for that matter. I've had a supercharged 02' GT with 4.10's and now the Cobra with 4.30's, and as long as you don't speed around on the highways, 80-90 all the time, the 3.90's should be fine IMO.
I have 3.73's and I am very pleased with them. The torque of the 5.0 will just waste 1st anyway. 3.90's is hardly noticeable and if you don't spend anytime on the highway I would go with them. I get 21 mpg with 3.73 on the highway at 75mph and who cares around town. I don't.
