Default Tire size for 1995 Cobra Mustang?

What is the widest rear tire I can get under my 95 cobra with 17 inch cobra R's without tire rub issues? I have 245/45's on it now and it just looks sad.

Hey i had a similar question regarding my 95 cobra. I asked if 17x10.5's would fit in the rear. Everyone who answered said it would fit fine. Heres a link to the thread. http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ims-can-i.html I think 10.5 is the widest you can go. I could be wrong though. My plan is to go 17x10.5's in the back and 17x9's in the front with the 03 cobra rims.

you can put 295's on a 9 inch rim...

and i have 315/35's on the back and didnt need wheel spacers till i bought the drag radials.

normal street radials will be fine in 315's and shouldn't rub at all

295's would be stretching it, the tires you get would have to be known for being narrow. i currently have 275/40/17s on the 17x9 95 cobra Rs.

you wont ever have to worry about tire rub issues (in the rear) until you get starting using 315's or bigger. until then, you wont ever rub.

the front is a different story. i think in the front, the biggest you can go is 255s without rubbing. 275s and you might rub
