Question What's The 1st HP Upgrade For A 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra?

A lot of people told me to get a pulley but, what kind and what size it would be good if I could know what would give me the best performance. Also I was thinking about a CAI or SRI but, again which gives the most hp and what brand and model.

Then of course an exhaust I was thinking about borla but, I really don’t know what to get on exhaust wise. Again hp and performance brand a model would be nice to know.

If any ideas or info please fill me in. I’m new but, I want to get off on a good foot and on the right road when I get my svt cobra 03 or 04.

No, why not? then you can make a ton of power with only a few more upgrades.... Like fuel system upgrades.

Default upgrade

Go with either a 293 or 281 - both will require a retune. I have the Steeda CAI kit and Bassani X w/ Flomasters. Better yet, save your money and buy a KB or Whipple. Ofcourse, we all know no one can wait that long. Good luck with your project.

Yeah I really want to get a KB but I want to do a few things first then jump on that. Then again a good turbo would be nice to.

I'm gathering my stuff slowly but surely.

When I get my income tax money next year, I plan to go Whipple. If I can get Ford to cover my engine warranty, it will be done.

Right now, the mechanic's saying, "Ford might". So we'll see.

First of all, how much money do you want to spend? lol

My advice is save up and get a cat-back, CAI, a smaller pulley and a tune. Changing the pulley size will require a tune for sure.

cat back - $400-750
x or h pipe - $150-500
CAI - $120-300
pulley - $40-90
tune - $300-500
