Default 2003 Mustang Mach vs 2001 Mustang Cobra

hey i have a 2001 cobra with 330 to the wheels i have slp catback custom dyno tune pro 5.0 short shitfer. bbk cold air intake bbk x pipe with high flows. its blowin smoke out the tail pipes on start up and when i teck the rpm up. ford said i have a small leak on the ring. well i kook at a 2003 mach 1 with 455 gears tune intake hocker everything not cats. the car has 40k mikes mine has 42k. they want 21,800 for the mach and they want to give me 9 for mine lol. they can;t even sell the mach on the lot and i test drove it, its fast but its making a weird sound like the gears are knockin. the dealer said its a 11 sec car. the gm is an asshole the sales man said he gunna help me out, he said the car should be sold holsale, i see 16 for the mach and 14 for mine wat u guys think ???

I'd suggest going back to school.... your grammar and ability to form a sentence is non-existant.

no kidding! My head hurts after trying to read that. I personally paid $23k for my mach and it had around 30k miles on it. I think 21k is a bit high myself, but they should be able to come down on that price. Who know's it might be an 11 second car....hell most mach's can run mid-low 12's with DR's and a basic bolt on mods (good drivers of course).

undoubtly you guys can not read redneck. . Since I am from the sticks I will try and read it for you.

He wants to trade his car in on a mach 1. His car has a bad oil ring or so (he thinks) and wants to know if the trade of 9k for the mach 1 is worth 21k, etc, etc.


yellowsvtcobra , first off your dealer is only quessing that it has a bad oil ring. It may be seals, guides ( Mark gave me these suggestions on mine).

Here is some great advice since you are requesting some.

Keep your cobra, fix the problem you have on your car.

If you are trading for the muscle, then the cobra is what you need.


My problem is with this post is...... if you know your car has a problem, then fix it or take a loss.
I cannot stand it when people push there problems off on someone else. it is not smart, it goes show your level of maturity. If you cannot fix or cannot take a loss, then you need to sell your cobra and get a nissan sentra.
