Default 2003 Mustang Cobra, Bad Blower, Any Suggestions?

hey all,
its been a few weeks since i've posted and its due to what i believe is a bad blower that i bought for my 03 cobra. I bought a ported eaton off of ebay, and i actually lost power!! Im only making 430 to the wheels and now i have some problems. I smell fuel every once in a while when i crank it. Sometimes when i crank it, it fires up almost too fast, and sometimes it has to turn over a few times before firing up. The blower is making a strange noise when making boost, and my boost is not nearly what it use to be. I use to be able to punch it in sixth gear and the boost gauge would tach out, now it hits about eight or nine pounds. Sometimes when i put the clutch in and im slowing down, the rpm's will drop to next to nothing, and then spring back up to about a thousand. I have done a compression test and all cylinders are about the same. I have tested the fuel rails and fuel pressure, and the cooling system and intercooler are both holding pressure. I'm pretty sure its the blower, so i went ahead and bought a stage 4 rebuilt from steigmeyer. I also bought a 4# lower pulley and a boost bypass kit. The Valve covers have a slight leak, so im going to replace the gaskets on them when i swap the blower. I really don't know what else to do. I know this is a lot, but i've been going crazy the last few weeks trying to get this problem resolved. Please guys, advise me on what else i can check or do when i swap the blower. im thinking about putting in a dual pass heat exchanger. Also, i should say that im having the guys at hanover customs do the swap. Then i will have it retuned at BnT performance. BnT performace did the first blower swap and have no idea why i lost power.
thanks again for any help.
Ben

From what I have heard the Eatons are just big heat pumps and not worth messing with other than pulley upgrades but from what I saw on tv the best performance gain is a programmer they got 40hp from the programmer and about 8hp from the smallest pulley. Also if u do have a programmer they are only good for pulley changes and any other modifications can damage the car. Also there is a tech bulletin abut the drivers side head being defective on the 2003 models within a few months which is a free recall to change out the head so look out for it the defect will cause the motor to overheat and blow. The person may have gone too far while porting it. I would go with the KB twin, or find a stock one to put back on. remember if your car was running fine before the upgrade u need to tune it or remove the part just installed.
