Thermostat Location On A 1996 Mustang cobra

ok guys,

Where is the location of the thermstat location on a cobra. I was in the 4.6 section and they say it is on top near the intake. No it is not! HELP!!! This is a 4v which is different.

the 4.6L dohc engines have the thermostat housing mounted low at the left front of the engine....now a quick one for you....i have a 96 cobra as well, and i need to ask you where your temp. gauge points to? mine, once warmed up, is above the half way mark. is it normal? does yours ride there as well?

Hi i would say thats about right mines a little lower but does go that high on occaisions but its cooler here
