from time to time we get some Cobra and Srt8 guys over on our site.
And we ar glad to have you. Most of our guys are mildly to wildly modded GTO's and we respect the terminator and the newly released GT500.
I would enjoy very much being respected here, as i mean no challenge to anyone here. i have 3 heavy hitters but not un beatable's they are...at least on my site..in the meaty part of the modded GTO's
I'd love to know more about the Terminator and its 1/4 mile abilities and its love form its owners. As all cr have strong and week points i find it amazing we live in a time when 500 whp is not a big deal.
( well those with it know it is)
If you have nay GTO quaestions i would be happy to answer them honestly....as we all know the GTO isn't quite the Ws6 replacement we ll hoped for on the GM side...but despite its weight....the outstanding and modable LS2 makeit a formidable car. And some suspesnion and brakes and the incarnation of the original GTO exsists...which makes Cobra's and GTO definitiely look t eaach other and wonder...can i?
lol
we are all car guys. lets not forget that. I'll be trolling around i guess.
tired of the smae old faces on the GTO and srt forums....its cool to here what you guys are upto.
for the record i've owned a 95 GTS, a 99 Cobra and even a 03 Terminator. though i didn't delve into the 03 as far as i could have.
anyway greetings and looking forward to conversing with the "enemy'...lol
Welcome to the forum. My friend Matt has a 2004 GTO. Its a great car, I actually kind of like its subdued look. I have a fondness for Ponchos, my long term project that I have had since highschool is a 1966 Pontiac Tempest. Some day I'll finish it, but until then I'll keep playing with my mustangs. Welcome!!

Gotta love the 5.0 My GTS was so much fun. a basic bolt on car...with a lil spray....if you read my sig i have a fondness for light spray use...anything under 150 is accetable to me.
OK lets get one thing clear.
GTO owner KNow the GTO isn't a real looker...thankfully with a different front spoiler and rear it can look very different.
my 2 look totally unalike...one is a DMS frontt spoiler and rear with mesh (black front grills)
the other has a Holden front bumper and a rear JHP . Australian looks to be sure.
so rule number one.
The Mustang kicks ths GTO's ass in the looks department.
(unless you modify the look..i had too i couldn't stand all the power in a big cavalier looking car. GM dropped the ball. but those with vision can make there own version and the LS2 couldn't be a more willing moding partner..cept for the ls3.
Ok who is running 11.8- 12.0 with there terminator regularly and how did you go about the mods to get it done...(03 -04 Bra's
)
Nothing wrong with the new GTO, I even liked the look, of course I liked the look of the Grand Am and Grand Prix but wouldn't even consider having one due to them being FWD, the new GTO had a very similar (and slightly better) look with a V8 and RWD... if I hadn't needed a pickup it would've come down to a new-style GTO, new-style CS6 Mustang, or a new-style Nissan 350Z when I was vehicle shopping last year.
I don't hate on any brand, I've got a Mustang, a Chevy pickup, and a Dodge Ram, if the Big 3 built it, it's rear-wheel drive, and it's fun to drive? I like it! lol
Hang around a bit, might learn a thing or two, or even catch the Mustang bug... I used to be a diehard Camaro guy!

Also have a 2003 Dodge Ram (lightly modded daily driver/tow rig/office/dining room/home away from home/workshop... I call it "The Big Blue Dawg".)
Brand loyalty is a good thing, it promotes healthy compitition. I personally don't have any as I've owned several F-bodies over the years and am now driving a Mustang(the sworn enemy of all f-bodies) But what the hell, I like what I like.
Almost all my cars have been mustangs , but i have also had an iroc z28 and i had 2005 gto with a six speed. I like all kinds of cars. but when it came to the 03 cobra and my 05 gto the cobra won. don;t get my wrong the gto was a nice car and i got a really good deal on it. but the cobra is superchage with sum lil mods like pully and tune u got almost 500 hp to the wheels. when i looked into doing stuff to the gto just a catback was like 800 bucks plus putting in on. mods for the gto were too much $$$. Stock vs stock would be a close race.

Now don't get me wrong the GTO is a nice car, and I got a really good deal on it; but the Cobra is supercharged. With some light mods like a pulley and a tune, you can get up to 500 hp to the wheels. Didn't mean to offend yellowsvtcobra, just wanted to make it clear for everyone else.
