I have a 1996 Cobra. When I get on it hard from stopped, as I go up I get a pulsing power problem...it sounds like its a miss or like the exhaust is coming out in spurts? When I am already rolling and say just get on it, I have no problems...This is why I was hoping it wasn't gears. Also if I go up to about 6500 or so before shifting, (almost red line), I will get a back fire. My car has the H-pipe and the person I bought it from said he cut out the cats on it. The o2 sensors caused a check engine light and I think it may be running very rich and possibly causing all my problems? I hear they make dummy's for them, are they worth it? I am also looking for a supercharger or other big HP mods if you know of any...thank you in advance.

I had the same thing with my 01 cobra once i took the cats off. Mind back fire sum times on high rpm or down shitfin. u can try to things but a set of mils on and will tell the computer u have cats or put high flows on, thats wat i did. As of hp put a votech on and biger mass air and a dyno tune. my buddy as 96 with that setup and hes putting down 470 rwhp.
