Default 3.8L V6 swap to the 5.4L V8

First off I was wondering if it is possible to fit a 5.4L v8 Cobra r engine into my 3.8L V6 mustang? Secondly if you can do that What components would I need to do that?

The 2000 Cobra R came with a 5.4 so yes, it can be done. Research the R and see what unique parts it had, you'll probably get your parts list that way. But pretty much everything from the air inlet to the exhaust system would have to be created, that's a huge engine and space will be cramped.

Ask me why I ran "only" a 13.54.

You will not be able to purchase any Cobra R parts. Ford did not release them for purchase to the public. They only supplied enough for warranty work, and require a VIN # to get ahold of them.

With that said, I have a set of Cobra R heads and Cobra R intake that took a lot to get my hands on, and cost me some $$$.
