1997 Mustang Cobra PATS key problem.

My new PATS key is having some problems. I program the key, the car starts and keeps running. I can even drive around. I turn the car off and try to start it again, and the theft light keeps blinking again. I need to reprogram the key for another start. This has happened several times. It seems the key stays programed for only one start. Anyone heard of this or something similar happening?

Yes I have a 98 Mustang and I hate the stupid pats key. I have to try several times sometimes to start my car. Sometimes I go to start it and it wont crank over at all. Acts like its dead. I just went out this morning to try and start my car to go to work and It would start at all no matter how many times I tried. I think its the key. I wish Ford never used the Pats key I've had nothing but problems with it!
