Default oscillating speedometer when driving constant speed

I have a 1995 V8 Cobra and I have noticed recently that when driving at constant speed on the highway that my speedometer indicator will oscillate plus or minus 5 mph. I am not experiencing any real up and down in speed.so far as I know.

Some movement is common, but 5 mph either way is too much. You might need to replace the speedo cable.

no speedo cable on those cars. check the driven gear on the vss or the vss itself may be bad. i also think that 94-95s had a strange problem with the clusters.
