Drew, they're insane. Now everyone else is going to follow suit a few hundred bucks atleast. Mike at whipple said "they're going up quite a bit, 1000 probably is about right".

any reason? just more demand? well KB and turbo sales will go up due to this.
I'm sure KB will follow suit. But if they don't match the 1000 increase, I will agree that Whipple sales will move towards them since they'll be cheaper.

those s/c probably cost the manufacturer about 2,000 to make, and the rest is all profit money for the manufacturer, vendors, etc. but hell whipple has a powerful supercharger anyway. unless you can mod any supercharger to make that power...
I know the magnacharger I will be buying comes stock making 6lbs. and you can get the 8lb pulley. *shrug* I wouldn't doubt prices are going up anyways. Not in this world
Can you do a little more investigating on this yourself please? I would like to know exactly what part is costing Ford/Whipple $1000 more. If anything, the price of these should be going down now especially with the recalls and all the crap that were going on with 07/08 version mismatches....

I think the vendors should just eat the price increase instead. They are marked up enough anyway for them to still make a profit right?
If I could make 500 on a whipple kit, I'd be in heaven.
Let's just put it at that. They cost WAY more than you think.
The markup sucks. Whipple and Ford are making all the profits.
Dealers/Vendors are lucky to make 10%.

Honestly I think these will be 5775.99 (jobber) until they're out of production at the lowest point. I don't ever see them going down.
However, I will try and get to the bottom of the price increase. It's only 2 weeks away, so they should have some specifics.
