As of August 19th, 2008 the price of the Whipple Supercharger kits for the S197 Mustang has increased nearly 900 dollars. The new going price is just about 6500 dollars, and retail is 6900. For those who thought we were BSing them, call Ford Racing or Whipple to confirm.

We're in the process of working out something now to still bring this kit to you reasonably priced. It will include everything as it did, with the addittion of a custom calibration.

At this time we have ONE KIT LEFT at $6K. This kit was prorated because we whined and complained enough. I will sell this kit for in-house installation. This is THE LAST KIT we can sell at close to the original price before they go through the roof.

I sold the last one we had in stock last night, and then today received ONE LAST KIT that we had to fight to get down to $6K.

someone best jump on that bad boy. IMO the best COMPLETE kit out there. any other blower kit you see at best will come with a BAP. sorry, i would rather have the GT500 fuel pump kit. maybe whipple saw to it that way and that was their justification for rasing the price. Regardless, Tillman put my car on the dyno and produced awesome #'s, and im only running 9psi. good luck to who ever gets it!!

I'm still shocked. A guy on another board went today and got a quote.... 6500 from a dealer with his SHOP DISCOUNT. That's crazy.

Why did whipple raise prices? I think that was a horrible idea.. Sounds like itll really hurt sales.

They say due to the price of Ford OE prices going up.

I'm surprised nobody took advantage of this kit yet, it's a great chance to save $500 dollars or more, easily.

Whew.. I'm glad I jumped on one at the begining of Aug. I had Injected Engineering near the Atlanta area order me up the 2007 HO Kit for $6k plus shipping. They told me Whipple is the best bang for your buck S/C kit because it comes with some of the extras you have to order seperate with other kits like the heatexchanger,spark plugs,gt500 pump etc.. and its also a twin screw. I can imagine the kit being over $7k for the polished finish with the new price, which is a heck of alot of money for a blower.I also liked the fact the install is easy and there is no relocation of stock parts.

The new price on them is $6489 I believe.
