Default Dyno tune - rear O2 sensors

Hey Chris,

I was reading about someone who had a Tillman tune and got a "emissions" special tune from you for when he needed to pass emissions.

Was just wondering if my dyno tune has my sensors turned on or off. Would I have a problem if I needed to pass inspection right now(I don't think I need to go for another year, but just to be on the safe side)?

Run a brand new air cleaner. If you are not coding the rear 02, then the system is running normal. If you undo the mod, she will be like stock. What is the deal?

Special tune is name that tune. Lookey Ear... This is a computer with ROM and RAM that special tune up their rear end is to scam you sounds like?

Send in the URL... Special Tune My Fork is chew on their abstract a little. Get to the bottom of this; see what this is all about. Right now, you lean out any tune you have now is a fresh pleat of air.
Unless you punch a hole in the old filter is a lot of little ones will lean out the throttle apply a little but not much is more work needed.
Then you get into drilling holes in the header is another no-no; but an air cheater none the less is burn the unspents. Still doing the air a favor and you passing inspection at the same time. Then tap the headers back up is plug up the air injection holes in the header. That kind of special tune is heading in that direction?

A lot of the tunes do turn off the rear O2 sensors. You'll need to turn them back on for your inspection.

PAz is talking about sensors and a/f ratio. He says to put on a new air cleaner to check if your tune can compensate properly on the a/f.

He also asks, how about just putting back the stock tune for inspection.

He's not buying the idea of a "special tune" and asked for a url so he can check out any info on it.

He's saying that less restriction on the intake, can help lean out your tune if necessary for passing emissions.

He also says you can cheat by bleeding some air into your exhaust to burn up the gas if your tune runs rich. And to plug up the leak after you pass the test.

He's asking if the "special tune" is mainly playing around with a/f to get your car to pass.

As best as I can guess, anyways

Hey! Your dyno tune has the o2's off, just give me a call when you're a few weeks before emissions and I'll go over everything and send over the tune.

Why did I only understand your post and just get severely confused when I read all of the following posts?

Thanks for the translation.

The main reason that the tune is required is because the rear O2s are turned off in 99% of aftermarket tunes because the light will trip under load because of the increased amount of air flow through the sensors.

We send (for free) the tune with the rear o2's turned on, and with light driving to cycle the keep alive memory yet keep the light from tripping, it will pass Pennsyltucky emissions.

You them there cali boys shure gots sum cray zay waysa passin emishuns.

Chris

I probably won't need the tune for another year in NJ, but I might call and get it sooner than later, before I forget.

I think tw0scoops was talking about ME. Chris gave me a "Emission tune" in name only so I can have my rear O2s on for inspection. The word "Emission" is just in my tuner so I know which one to install for inspection here is Pa. Works good. I got lost in the other post as well.
