to tune your vehicle? how do you update your SCT tuner? i just got the SCT x3 do i have to update it? i need to know this , i just bought a tune

plug the tuner in and check the version and update and compare the number to the version specs they should be at you can find this on the sct website you dont have to update to use the tunes although you might want to.

go to the sct site, select tech support. select device updates and downloads, select you tuner from the drop down, then the drop down to the right, select devise update software and save it to your desktop. dont select firmware, dont select drivers. double click the downloaded icon on your desktop, it will install the program you need to load new tunes onto your tuner. for ease, save your tune on your desktop too. double click on your sct updater icon, plug the tuner into your usb, select live load tunes( in the middle of the page) and follow the promps to load your tune into your tuner. hope that helps

great! does this mean you`ll get a chance to figure out what happened to the v6 auto shift points and the whimpy shifts? its been a couple mondays since you said "next monday" also, if you could send me the receipt for my purchase would be nice too, thanks, mike thomas

i have a 95 5.0 h/c/i with v1 and a 50 shot of nitrous using a btm and 6-plus msd box(not the best way i know)i have factory computor how much for a chip with a couple tunes.please e-mail michael_foret@yahoo.com i really need a tune before i hurn another piston or worse my stage 3 tw heads from fox lake racing i would be sick.help
