Default Gas Mileage after CAI/TUNE?

Im looking at the C&L Racer Intake with the SCT3 and a Tillman tune. How much lower will the gas mileage be when all is said and done.

And will I have the option to go back and forth between tunes?

A CAI and a 93 octane tune will increase your mileage. Although, you may find yourself witha heavier foot since your car will be more responsive and quicker, which will have a negative impact on your mileage.

yea man that improves gas mileage but the cai and tune will make it feel like your accellerating more lol i have L.F.S. thanks to the stupid cold air intake... i like the whistle sound it makes but i get 31mph hwy and 20 city if i go easy on the gas but it gets as low as 14 or 15 when i do alot of racing flooring it what ever you wanna call it

Factory 87 tune & air box I got 16 city 23 highway
Bama 87 tune w/JLT I got 17 city 24 highway
Bama 93 race tune w/JLT I get 19+ city 27 highway, probably could do better on highway If I drove slower...

And yes you'll be able to switch between tunes. Keep your stock set-up for visits to the dealer for warranty work if you have any left.

Don't expect big gains, your only putting a CAI, and SCT Tune. Like everyone else has said, it all depends on how heavy your right foot is, Mike D. SCT Tuner.

Welcome to AFM!
Your gas mileage will go up with a CAI + tune as long as your right foot stays the same. When I got my tune my gas mileage stayed right about the same, but I think my right foot got heavier. It only takes maybe 5 min tops to change tunes, as simple as plugging in the tuner and pressing a few buttons.

if you driving habits stay the same, you will get 1-2 MPG better mileage. Your foot will get heavier since the throttle response will seem like night and day compared to your stock tune and box.

I'm trying to figure out why im getting 15.4mpg on my 06 GT. Only mods I have are the K&N intake, steeda TB spacer, Steeda exhaust, oil catch can, and a 91 CAI tune. My mileage actually drops when I upload the tune, and it gets a little better with the stock. But even then Im doing 15.4mpg. I only have 24,000 miles on it any ideas why my mileages so low
Thanks

Mine went up. I had a C&L Street, with a Tillman 93 street/race tune and was getting roughly 24mpg in mixed driving and saw over 29mpg on long trips.

I just got a Racer CAI and 93 Tillman Tune I get better Gas mileage but like EVERYONE said you right foot get Heavier for Sure. Im getting right around 17.8 in the City Driving like an Ass. And how do you to your car back to the Dealer with the Tune put back to stock the car the car barely runs with Stock tune and C&L Racer on it?

Never drive around with the C&L Racer and no tune! You'll be running her very lean.

If you're worried about dealer issues.. afew days before your trip to the dealer, return the tune back to stock and put the stock air intake back in. They'll be hard pressed to tell you had the Racer / tune on her.
