i would never buy this simple because the whine of a screaming supercharger on top of a healthy v8 is one of the best sounds on earth

The TECHCO has a sound at idle a little more like a Procharger or a large centri, if you will. I don't mind it, some people weren't happy with it. They whined so much the blower doesn't have to anymore!

I'm with you, though. I think a whine over rumble V8 combo is the best sound!

i will never forget when motor trend criticized the gt500 for its supercharger whine. what is wrong with them!

The superchargers are nice.. but i rather have a quiet whine.. makes it more of a sleeper with a bad ass exhaust. If its quite those stupid ricers wont no its supercharged haha..then again those ricer got no balls the begin with when u take away their boost.. takes away their turbos and their engines are slow as a lawn mower in high gear. So you can give sh.. for wanting a non whining supercharger.personally i rather have a non whining supercharger just to make it seem like its nuttin special in a race until they get waxed with big eyes that are saying what just happened! Just my 2 cents../

Oh and asking for a blower that doesnt create boost is like this one guy had emailed a muscle car show askin why they didnt make heads for a 331 or 347 because he couldn't find any lol.

lol..Forget supercchargers and turbos.. Stroker motor build up staying N.A. is more like american muscle to me.. I mean most of the original muscle cars weren't boost...all engine.. thats what im sticking with.. last Week here in Des Moines, iowa at the fairgrounds all the classics and v8 muscel cars were out for the car show all week.. There wasn't a single Ricer Burner to be heard for miles when these classic v8's were out and about all last week nor did i see any haha.

Like said above... the sound is great at part throttle, alot of people were just unhappy with the idle sound. That's why TECHCO did this. I'm more than happy with their standard unit, if you haven't heard it idle... check out some YouTube videos..

id use it for sleeper reasons...hence the reason i wanna go turbo,not as obvious....hmm something to think about

Turbos are quite obvious when shifting, the blowoff from the wastegate is an unmistakable sound.

They already make a quiet spool turbo with a silent blow off valve, it's chrome/ plastic and can be found at your local auto zone for a few bucks.
