Default Gary 2005 Mustang GT TECHCO Supercharger Dyno Results!

Gary came to us with a 2005 Mustang GT which was fitted with a TECHCO 3.0L Reverse Revolution Twin Screw Supercharger System and strapped down to the rollers! With a Tillman Speed SCT custom tune, using TECHCO's Low-Output 7PSI system and a Boost-A-Pump, we were able to pull out over 428 Rear Wheel Horsepower and 395 Rear Wheel Torque SAE Corrected! This was on a Manual Transmission vehicle with 3.55 Ring and Pinion with conservative timing! Great numbers and the car is a blast to drive!

Nice numbers! How much higher could you go with that kit safely on a stock bottom end?

No problem going 10PSI. The car will need a fuel system once it get's past this point. I think we hit right around 87% fuel pump duty cycle at 6500 RPM. We try and keep it below 90%, so I think if we had made another 10RWHP or so that would have been it for the stock pump. Other than that, no problem going as high as 10PSI-11PSI. I try and keep them below 500RWHP SAE corrected for engine longevity.

I like the idea of the dual GT500 pumps anyway. What would 10psi make at the wheels? I may also be interested in the Super Shake due to the fact I already have the CDC shaker and don't want to by a new hood. Any experience with installing and tuning that system?

This was a conservative tune. We pulled timing top end, left the air fuels rich, etc. I don't see any reason why this car couldn't have made 475-480RWHP all day long.

You can see this graph has a completely different curve than the 7PSI kit. With a less conservative tune, it would look just like the 7PSI kit's results only the lines would be consistently roughly 60RWHP and 60RWTQ higher.

We've done only a few of the Super Shaker kits. I really don't do a whole lot of Saleen, to be honest. Especially since all the guys I dealt with all moved on. I'm much happier working with Techco, Roush, Edelbrock and Whipple from a business standpoint. From a product quality standpoint, I think any of the brands I named above will surpass Saleen.
