Will a 2.5 inch H-pipe fit the stock headers and GT take off's that are 2.25 inchs

I have a 02 V6 and I am getting duel exhaust put on some time fairly soon. I got GT take offs for 175 with shipping included and now I am looking for an H-pipe that will fit from my stock headers to the GT take off's. I figure this will be one of the cheaper routes of getting true dual exhaust cuz I am going with an off road pipe.

BTW will a 2.5 inch H-pipe fit the stock headers and GT take off's that are 2.25 inchs? MAC says they should but I would much rather know if the seal will be good rather then find out the hard way.

Also is there any kind of insulation needed for the fuel and brake lines? A couple shop owners said it was needed but people in threads say it isn't.

do you plan on getting a new h pipe or a used one like from a junkyard? cuz i can get you a used one
