well see the difference between me and him is im using a 4.2 block and he just stroked his block.. but i've always been told that 4.2 blocks are the same as 3.8 but with a bigger bore.. but idk thats why im asking

actually the 4.2 and the 3.8 have the same bore of 3.81. The 4.2 has a 3.74 stroke and the 3.8 has a 3.34 stroke. The 4.2L block will swap on directly to a 3.8L top end.

ooo nice.. but what im wanting to know is do they still have the same rods and pistons and stuff cuz im going to be doing forged stuff.. have a built bottom end.. thats why im asking

Well if you are going to go forged then you should just get a shortblock from super six thats already forged. I mean don't quote me on this but I think the 4.2L is just the same as stroking a 3.8L, just not forged.

I think this would be great for Mustang owners. Good sources for us V6 guys is always a plus.

Now I personally can't take advantage of it, no funds, but having the information on hand is a good thing.

Any news on this guy or other information?
