Ok, New question. Does anyone have true duals with the fllowmaster 80 series? How does it sound? Ive looked on youtube but all the videos with the 80 series were pretty poor quality.

Do you know the reason for the "H" ? Has nothing to do with if the car is stock or not. I'll splane it , if you like.

if you are removing your cats then the offroad H pipe connects to the manifold on one end and to the pipes that lead to the mufflers on the other end..if you are keeping your cats then it goes mufflers, h-pipe, cats, to the manifold..

the guy at the muffler shop will probably fabricate one for you just tell him you want an offroad h pipe..yes I got 2 1/4 it depends on how big you want to go....if you plan on getting a Power adder such as a supercharger, turbo, etc. then 2.5 is a good size...2 1/4 gives a good amount of backpressure considering you are keeping it naturally aspirated....2 inches is stock you don't have to change the pipe size if you are going to be keeping other things nearly stock..its all up to you..i got magnoflows tips but he should have a catalog of different dips get the one you think fits you best..

Wow? How did this thread slip under my radar? Ok simply put, cutting out the cats a.k.a. off road mid pipe, is all around a bad idea for the v6. True duals will work fine, but it is better to have an x or an h crossover because of torque production. For pipe sizing, if you plan on only doing basic bolt-ons get 2.25", if you plan on doing some big work (h/c/i, turbo, supercharge, nitrous) go with 2.5".

Both pipes through one muffler???

Oh yeah almost forgot, for tips it is all personal preference; just as long as you dont go with a smaller size than your piping.

no difference in sounds just a good size to have if you plan on having some bolt ons but no Power Adder..if you go to big you will lose backpressure..
