There is nothing wrong with talking about any subject on any forum, as long as the talk doesn't turn ugly toward each other. I said the earth is 4.5 billion years old, and you dissagree, there is nothing wrong with that. We already beat the subject of this thread to death and the reason it is still up front is because we are talking about other things than 40s and "H" pipes. And , by the way, Columbus never set foot in the land we call the United States. And if he would have he would have found The Palio peopl that were here 10,000 years before him.
And Mustangs were a distant thought.
but when I think of Texas all I think about is cowboys and desert...correct me if I'm wrong
Na.....there is only desert in west Texas and out there you can go as fast as you want and no one gives a s***.
Sheer space is what Texas really has. You can be driving through pasture land and only see a house every 2 or 3 mi. then 45 min. later you are in downtown Austin!
Like mustang nazi said we have the hill country! And with the hill country we have the Frio River and Garner State Park! Now if you want to see hundreds of college chicks getting drunk while floating down a river, thats the place to be!

if you have a stock engine itd be better to keep it single exaust so you dont lose torque. i have it 2 1/2 inch pipe from the Y to to muffler, 2 chamber Flowmaster, and the same to the tip that i made a chrome dump tip. it looks and sounds good. as far as single muffler to dual tips, it might sound better but you still might lose a little power depending on the diameter of the pipe from the muffler to tip. like civics that have a huge exaust, theyre loud but slow because 4 cylinders cant make enough back pressure on a 3 inch exaust.
I've got a Single Super 40 Muffler on my 2004 V6. It gives it a great startup noise (Shakes the windows if I'm parked next to the house) and it's a minimum noise during driving. Good noise while accelerating moderatly, silent while being gentle with the car, and if you have the O/D Off it sounds amazing! Well at about 70 mph it sounds amazing lol
I do wish it had a bit more of a growl to it, and for that I may suggest you go with the Mac Exhaust Cat-Backs (350ish dollars), but aside from that I'm satisfied with it. I talk to my friends (All of us have our cars being daily drivers, our only vehicles) and they're biggest compliment is that at the end of the night when there cars are waking up the neighbors and making a headache worse, mine glides around sounding stock, but still has a growl when I want it to.
PS: Shaking the windows is a little exadurated, but it is a great growl on startup.

wow, this thread went in about 10 directions! I watched it go from H pipes and x pipes to an exhaust debate. Then let's not forget the new england Vs. socal housing market (Oh BTW, New Hampshire is cheaper than Ct, and property tax is about the same, but u guys stink... no income tax or sales tax... I know, I've been shopping. I'm looking in PA, at least they have land. Did u know opening day of white tail season is a state holiday for PA??) Oh, lets not forget the Texas pride! But honestly, I'll be darned if I know how Columbus and Niel Armstrong fell into this one...Hey, where's those exhaust pics??
does anyone know the size of the exhaust pipe?...im thinking about getting new mufflers..i dont have a lift or else i would measure it myself. i got true duals ..right now i got stock mufflers n one of them is rattles so im thinking its bad.all your help would be appreciated. thxs
ok, now i am confused. I have a stock 2000 v6 which i am adding a cai this week, and maybe pulleys and tuner in the future. was planning on a true duel exhaust as next mod. didn't think an x pipe or h pipe was necessary, is it?
Can't the shop cut above the y-pipe and run two seperate pipes to two seperate mufflers? Will that yield a high hp gain than an h or x pipe? I don't care about the sound, just want maximum hp gain.
i got dual flowmaster american thunders true dual, no h or X pipe, it soudns great, even better cold. every now and then i get some back fire. but the down side
if you get up around or over 4 grand it starts to get that rice rocket sound. you know piSSed off bumble bees? but thats ok as long as im outfront :P im satisfied with my upgrade, looks good sounds good normal driveing, and when its just idleing sounds like a nice blower
I actually just got a single Flowmaster 40 on my 04 V6 and its no comparison to the stock one. Sounds way more like a muscle car now. The 18x3 chrome tip looks dope too
