Default Would like to hear ur opinon on an Exhaust idea

OK my idea is to cut just ONE catalytic ( both of them will be too loud) , replace the Y pipe with and X pipe, then flowmaster 40 and 3" tips. What do you guys think will it sound equal. THANKS

That would be weird...

Just cut them both, or leave em.

Yeah, what is your rationalization for doing this? You would still have to delete your O2 sensors or you would throw a code. Your backpressure difference would throw off your powerband too......

You have sensors in your cats. You have to have all sensors. Check that before doing any cutting.

scrape the x-pipe, if u want a mid pipe, go with an h, or non at all, X pipes make it sound raspy, h is more mellow(i have an h, love the sound)

taking off your cats won't make it sound ricey..gives it more throaty sound IMO..and why wouldn't you want tailpipes?

Because I'd need a new bumper like a gt and it would be louder without them wouldn't it? But you sure the sound would still be so deep without cats? And what about all the sensors and stuff. I want a paintjob especially if I got a new bumper but I want a different good before I get a painjob

First of all you wouldn't NEED a new bumper..you can either have the tips sit below the bumper (which I don't like) or you can have the bumper cut to have the pipes sit in it..thats what i did for my exhaust...I attached some pics

Second, taking out the cats will make it sound more raspy and throaty. It gives it a nicer idle...heres a video from youtube..
