1999 v6 Mustang Exhaust Questions I'm trying to figure out a good way to get my v6 to sound very deep and very loud... i have the stock setup besides 1 flowmaster attatched. An idea that came to mind: the stock v6 comes with two pipes out of the engine already unless my eyes deceive me. but for some reason these two pipes connect to a y-pipe singling the exhaust out(weird thing to do in my opinion) well out of that one exhaust pipe i have one flowmaster... could i just take the y pipe off and get a mechanic to weld straight pipes onto it and buy another flowmaster?
Another little segment here...
If i were to get them to put the straights on, should i try to get the cats cut off, or would that make it sound ricey(but i would but two flowmasters on. just keep that in mind) even if it didnt make it that ricey, i would rather it be as deep and as loud as possible.
Also..... would leaving off tailpipes be better or worse? i know it could be louder but would the pipes hang? or maybe just put them for style, if i did i would have to get a GT bumper or cut a hole out in mine...
Last thing i swear.......... how difficult would it be to bend the pipes or order some or something to make them into side pipes, without having to buy the 900$ kit(im a cheapo. or actually better put, broke) and how would the flowmasters fit?
I Lied.... I think my one flowmaster is center to offset right? for all of you that know what it would look like, id have to check.... well my question is: if i got straights etc... of course i think i would have to follow through with tailpipes for it to matter. would i have to get a different set of flow's? considering the new pipe arrangement. And thank all those that might have made it this far in this thread.
