with 2 grand you can do some significant work, what are your goals for the car? (HP, 1/4 mi., beating a certain car, etc.)
I think the wisest mod would be a split port swap. That would pick you up to the power of a 99-04 v6.

You could do a split-port swap with a kit from super six motorsports. Doing the swap will get you 40hp and then if you were to get your intake/heads port and polished you would probably get another 15-20hp. That would be a total of 55-60hp gained. That probably still wouldn't use all of your 2k unless you payed someone for the install.
i plan on doin a split port swap as well(ya, i switch a lot), but im taking a different path, im getting a stage 2+ power pack, and use those as my split port swap parts, ill gte way more than 40hp

he would probably get more than 20hp with ported heads and intake...but if you are going to do all that just get one of their powerpaks..that way having the cam/ported heads and intake altogether gives them more hp...it is a good thing to do all at once and super six claims to get anywhere from 70 to 90 hp depending on which one you go with..
