Default 2000 Mustang V6 cam help

My question is I probably pretty simple, but I would like to know what is the best cam to go with and about how much it would be to have a shop install and tune it. I have a budget of about 1000$. Any help would be much appreciated.

Well I plan keeping it for quite awhile. I have a few basic mods done, such as magnaflow exhaust, intake and I have it lowered. I wanna turn it into a high performance car, but still keeping it street legal. Im a learning mechanic and am really looking forward to getting my hands dirty under the hood.

The cam itself fairly cheap, the tune not too bad, the labor costs to have it done for you...$$$. When I got my heads and cam installed I took it to well represented shop and paid $1000 for lobor alone; the tune was $300. Doing the swap yourself isn't easy either, you have to remove the water pump, the whole timing system, and most of the top end. Decent mechanical skills and proper tools, plan on taking a full weekend.

There a lot of other mods you could do now to build the car and save up for the cam later. Tuner, T-lok, under drive pullies, etc.
