Default 2004 Mustang Convertible Audio System. Worth it or Worthless?

I have a 2004 Mustang Convertible. Well I want to get a system, but is it worth it? Will it still sound the same as if it were a normal car? Any answers would be helpful. I just don't know anybody who has one.
Thanks in advance.

are you looking for a lot of bass? you will get best sound when you have the top up, but you will lose most of your bass when the top is down. you will have to dynomat your car especially the trunk. you could change the speakers that are in the rear deck and the door speakers to sound better and put an amp on that

he will still get a good amount of bass with the top down..it just won't be that good bass vibration feeling...it will still hit hard tho and everybody else can enjoy it as well...I would say to get one of those mini boxes for a sub so that it doesn't feel the whole trunk unless you got a rear seat delete then just customize em to fit in there..

i have a 01 and it sounds great with the top down and even better with the top up. i would also look into buying a speed cover to help with the sound when the top is down, and makes the car look great also

I say do it! If you need any help with any kind of install just pm me and I'll try to get you on your way. That was one of the first things I did to my car was to get rid of all the stock sound components and add in my own

Totally worth it! Only thing you would have to do without is trunk space but there really was none to begin with.
I have an 04 v6 stang too with a type x in a ported box and it bumps like a *****

man totally worth the work to put in a system, i'm pulling just a small one and it sounds amazing top up or down, but you do have to get creative if you want to keep a good sound and still have lots of room in the trunk.
