Default Reduced engine power

Hey i have a 1995 v6 mustang that i just bought about a month and a half ago. It has high mileage 146,000. I was just wondering what i could do to get more power out of it its very sluggish and runs through gas fast. I have to bury the pedal just to get any good acceleration from it. Just wonderin if i should get a new engine.

There could be alot of reasons for it. Tune up, fuel filter, dirty mass air sensor, etc.......
