Those stories are told by Scion owners, no doubt. The TC has a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder that makes 160 hp and 160 torque. A co-worker who drives an 07 Eclipse GS with a nearly equivalent engine to the TC considers the TC quicker than his car because it's a bit lighter.
I raced one one day. We were turning had he had the inside line and got away from me. I have no doubt if it was a fair race and I wasn't being so careful, I would have beat him...

a TC can never beat an american muscle car. anything that says otherwise is a fluke.

I seen a 6 second scion here it is type this in your explorer bar without spaces ( www. youtube. com/ watch?v= 5HJGYXDXleY ) If I ran into that on the street I would just park my car for the night... This is what they really look like on the street maybe slower... Fastest 2007 Scion tC Videos Movies - DragTimes.com
I have raced a few with exhaust and none have come close to winning.
Yeah a co-worker of mine has a Scion TC and I went out for a ride in it, and it felt like it was going a lot faster than it really was. He was slamming gears and the car felt like it was climbing into the better part of 100 mph and was really at about 45 mphs at 4 grand.
lol. I had a guy working with us and he bought one brand new. The next day he brought it up to work and was showing it off. I said thats a nice looking car and he replied "thanks man now i might be able to hang with you because this thing is fast". Trying not to laugh to hard I said ok let me see under the hood. He didnt even know if it was front wheel or rear wheel drive. Well anyways i could have put two of his motors under my hood. I told him i dont think you will hang but it sure looks nice...lol
Stock the TC's are between the performance of a single-port and a split-port. The TC should beat the single-port and lose to the split-port. I have 'raced' an auto and I beat it up until 65ish and then it started to pull on me pretty fast. lol I don't know why any stock V6's would be racing though...
I just sold my scion tc for my gt, I had the trd package(bodykit exhaust) and it would beat a v6 sn95 and sn95 new edge any day of the weak, but im not too sue about a s197 never raced one with it, and you're a gt will walk hard on it, it wont even be close

Not likely, 175 bhp and 175 tq vs. 193 bhp and 225 tq., and the tc is only a little over 100 lbs lighter. If it is a 3.27 rear gear 5-speed it won't even be close.

im not going to compare numbers with you because they dont mean sh1t unless its a huge difference, just like the viper makes more hp than the corvette, but the vette wins every time, im not trying to disrespect anyone or cause a problem, im just saying i beat v6 mustangs with my tc all the time when i had it and this is speaking from experience, maybe you should go race one with a good driver or just except the fact and stop number talking and the tc is 160 by the way(get it right first)
