1995 3.8l mustang conversion to manual steering

I would like to convert my steering to manual. Has anyone left in the power rack and disconnected the pump and hoses to accomplish this? I would connect the hose lines together and leave a breather so I can keep fluid in there.

Does anyone know what the ration is on the stock power rack?

I'm not sure what the ratio is. But if you loop the lines together, add fluid to the lines and turn your wheel in both directions, you should never have to add fluid.... Also, take out the pump altogether and get a shorter belt.
