ok so here it is, I just bought a 2000 V6 Mustang Convertible from my girlfriends uncle for $5,500
it has 74,000 Miles on it...lets see what everyone thinks ...did I get a good deal?
Engine is beautiful tires are new, top is brand new, leather is in GREAT condition
The only thing I find wrong with it, (he did point this out), is that the windows on the driver side don't line up perfectly, and the window will catch the top if you don't close door right (you have to put pressure at the top of the window or else it will just catch the top)...there is a small gap between the lining on the rubber of the back window and the driver side window...I'm a little concerned rain might get into it...not sure, I'll need to get those aligned I guess...especially since I don't wanna wear out at the top
Also I bought the car in Florida and drove it home to Connecticut..
I am not sure how many sites I am on any more. lol
Last I knew, 6 Mustang sites, 2 Lincoln sites, 3 Dodge sites, 2 Chevy sites, 2 Honda sites, 4 Nissan sites, 2 Mercedes, 1 Volvo, 3 BMW, 1 Subaru, and a few other misc. sites. lol
I am into every type of cars but especially Euro cars. I try to keep up on as many different types of cars as possible but it isn't exactly easy.
I am looking into buying a newer car this summer. I found a sweet ass Mach 1 locally with a small amount of work for 11k it has 60k miles which isn't great but isn't bad either. I would love to own the Mach, but I might end up with another early sn95 GT or something along those lines.
looks good, i dont know the difference of pricing between a vert and a coupe, but i got my 2000 coupe (v6) for 5k at 30k miles, but i think i just got a really good deal
but I like the one I just bought a real lot anyway...so hey what the hell
how many miles should I expect a well taken care of 2000 to run me you think?
Service rating on em' is 200k, but I would venture to say you should start having issues around 150-160k. It really just depends on the car, some go over 200k some crap out at 100.

yes id say u got a good deal i have the exact same problem with the window thing though. i just started putting stuff on mine and noticed my windows were like that. well whatr i did was took it to the nearest glass shop and had them put it down 2 tracks somehow it bumped up off track and made it to where i had to do the same thign you did. well good luck fixing it.
Id say you have a Nice Ride there and a good deal.....the window isnt a big problem or should I say its an EASY and CHEAP fix...it sounds like its off track.
Have fun with your ride.
