i just bought a 2001 ford mustang 3.8L v6. i have been looking around to get a catback exhaust. i just looked at faggens auto parts and they told me that the whole exhaust would cost me 500 dollars for a flowmaster. is that a good price or could i get a different one that would do the same thing. if someone could please help me that would be great. thank you

Is it $500 for just a single exhaust set up? If it is that is way too high, shop around muffler shops or as anyone that knows off anyone with a decent price. You can dual flowmasters for less than $500 installed. I got mine for $350 but now I'm starting to find them cheaper, around $200-250.

Whatever you get get a dual exhaust conversion kit. More power and a better sound. Also get all Stainless Steel. Aluminized steel sucks and in my experince only lasts 4 or 5 years. And yes $500 for a single pipe catback exhaust installed is a bit high.

alright i dont know where else to shop around at. i live in covington indiana which is about an hour from indianapolis indiana and i dont know anywhere to go. and how much would a conversion kit to make duel exhaust cost me. like how much should it cost for installation and everything for one. and should i order one online or go somewhere. if i should order online what are some good websites. if you could please help me that would be great. thank you for your help

If possible, do you have any local muffler shops around? They might quote you less for the parts and labor.

You can try, get a quote and see if it's at a decent price. So you don't have any local muffler shops that specialize in just exhaust components?
