Thanks

Ya youl be lucky to get your 5Hp, youl get the most out of it when you build you speed up,mine makes a sucking noise almost like a turbo, and dont bother spending lots of $ on a good brand name one just get a kit of Ebay there like $40 and have been tested against the other top brands and they do the same thing.

If you do get one of off Ebay, be czreful of the quility. I bought one there for my Grand Cherokee and the filter was actually a K&N. But the tubing was a cheap plastic, broke in about 4 months. You can get some good ones on there, but be careful.

5-8 with a metal (not much more than a drop-in K&N) but the plastics (DeMolet, K&N, JLT, Average 7-12. Less heat soak.

yeah, I would suggest just picking up an eBay intake, then using the money saved there to pick up a phenolic intake manifold spacer too

The E-bay intakes aren't that much better than a drop in filter - just pick up the spacer . . .

:-/

But they look cooler, and only cost a bit more than the filters. Haha.

This is just my own expierence, but when I had just a K&N filter, I hardly noticed a difference in milage. When I put on my CAI, I ended up getting about 2 miles to the gallon better. That's not to say that you'll see more improvement with the filter than I did..

Any time you increase the power without altering the gearing or the fuel maps, you will increase your miles per gallon.

the K&N increases the efficiency of the engine, which corresponds to mpg.

Same goes for removing weight - you'll pick up 1-2 for every 100 lbs you remove.

About the same improvement here too, and it really seemed to wake up the car in terms of throttle response. Yes, it sounded cool too. Only down side was I HATE chrome parts. I blasted and painted it. I'll probably do the same when I get one for my new 'Stang too.
