split port swap, underdriver pullies, cold air intake, and exhaust. You'll have 200HP easy.

Take it to a mechanic unless you are mechanically inclined, especially since he does the work for free. Can you take off the heads and intakes and put new better breathing ones on your car yourself? That is a split-port swap. The easy part is getting them off. lol

A split-port swap, Full exhaust from LT's back, CAI, tune, UDP(don't add hp just free it up) will give you over 200hp. Probably put you around 210-215hp after it is all said and done or 180ish rwhp. Not too bad, not fast but not nearly as slow as the stock single-ports are either.

Another thing that can be done but has not been mentioned yet is changing your gears. This does not give you more HP, but it does help you get off the line quicker. However, you will see your top end reduced. So it all depends on what you really want to do.

From what I have seen, most drivers like to drive fast (read:quick acceleration) between 0-80 or so. They think that if you can make it to the next stoplight faster than another guy you have the faster car... this may or may not be true however.

But if that feel and response is what you are looking for as well (and it looks as if you are), you may consider changing your gears.

Its not like most V6's have enough power to top their cars out with 3.73's anyway. As well as the fact that you shouldn't be trying to top out your car on the highway anyway. lol

Oh I agree. Heck, with the way gas prices are now days I am just surprised folks are driving as fast as they are. LOL In the truck I keep it at 65 and in the Mustang I am normally at 70-75 depending on the actual speed limit.

But with that said, changing gears will not help with your MPG either. It WILL however make your car more responsive and quicker from the stop. I have thought about doing a gear change myself. I am happy with every other aspect of my car (for the most part) except how it can be a slug from a stop. I don't race it and that is not why we got it, so being the fastest on the road is not my goal... having the car handle and respond the way I want it to is.

I'm giving serious thought to dropping a half turn - finding some 2.73s . . .
