I was just reading a post about someone potentially getting one done to their engine, and I see the term being spun around all over the place. Now I'll admit my mustang knowledge is limited to what I've done or what I've asked so it's not much, so use stupid terms for me. What exactly is a "Split Port", what are the benefits, and how much would that sort of thing cost? Again just out of curiosity, I like to learn when I'm curious

"splitport" refers to 99+ cylinder heads and intake design that are on v6 mustangs. 94-98 V6's came with "singleport" heads and intake that didn't flow air into the combustion chamber efficiently , thus with a better flowing head and intake that came in the 99+ resulting in the increase in Hp from 150 hp to 190 hp and alot more low end torque.
