Question 2000 Mustang, v6 life expectancy?

my mustang is a 2000 v6 and ive had it about 5 months. when i got the car i really wasn't thinking mileage but rather the fact that it was 12 years newer than my '88 2.3 mustang. i was hoping to keep the car for atleast three to four years which seemed very possible at the time but i have learned a lot since then. my car has a little over 137000 miles right now but the engine and surprisingly auto tranny seem to be in fine shape. i cannot say how the car was driven before, i have no idea. it has a k&n CAI but other than that, stock. i have replaced a cracked exhaust manifold and kept oil change and maintance to date. i'm just wondering how much life i can get out of my mustang? i drive it every day and i would guess around 15,000 miles a year. will it last me the three or four years until i can buy a GT or should i start saving to buy another v6 with lower miles. i just don't want to start putting a lot of money into dual exhuast and other mods when i should be saving for another car. what can i expect and what have you guys gotten out of your v6's?
thanks for any help!! much appreciated!!

Any car will last you a great long while as long as you keep up with maintenance and don't overly abuse the car. Your car should be able to last you long after you get the GT

Yea , I agree oil changes are a must! And the good thing that rebuilt 3.8L's are not hard to find!
