Default Can anyone recommend a good "Economy" Tuner.

Hi Guys, I know the majority of us are looking for high performance tuners, but I'm going to try to squeeze as many miles out of my tank as possible. So can any of you recommend a good fuel economy program for my '06? The car has a 4.0 V-6 with 5 spd stick and something like a 3.08 rear axel ratio. I plan on installing a good low restriction intake and exhaust sytem. Thanks in advance.

Geno.

SCT tuners are good with a custom eco tune with it. Get one at VMPTuning.com

DO NOT by any means buy from them. Justin is a very unprofessional company owner and does not stand behind his products. I've dealt with him twice and have had nothing but issues.

BRENSPEED, BBK BMR SCT STEEDA MAC PYPES SLP MUSTANG PERFORMANCE PARTS is the better choice as they are a part of MAC Products, the major mustang aftermarket part manufacturer. So you're basically guaranteed that they'll stand behind their products, My mufflers are from them as well as my 3 custom tunes I have, I am nothing but pleased with the way Brent, the owner, runs his company.

Pypes Violators. I get compliments all of the time, they are extremely loud and they sound excellent and are very distinct.

For a short period of time I had dumps with the Violators. They sound okay.. overtime they just got annoying for me though, there wasn't much drone but they were so loud that I couldn't hear myself think.

I just bought a set of Ford Racing duals with the GT take offs from V-6 Mustang stuff. Looks like they should be super easy to install. We'll see if it increases my mileage or not. Next step is the CAI.

Let me rephrase myself , I won't have dumps , but turndowns right before the bumper. Or I could go center exit between the roush spats....

if you do dumps, it won't change the sound much, but the tips usually funnel the sound out a bit. If you do center exit, it'll be quieter because there are more bends the exhaust neds to make.

a lot of his threads here:
VMP Tuning - 3.8 Mustang Message Board

involve lawsuits, etc. He is a terrible businessman.

yeah I read that lawsuit thing and what I gathered was it was the buyers on stupidity and fault for not getting justin the right datalog. And appearntly that car had problems before the tune.

btw I dont see that thread anymore.

but anyway like i said, personally ive had a great exp with him.
