Have a few friends who run them and they are happy with them. Not sure about the HP gains though

I have the Mac CAI and it's a decent piece. I felt better TB response and some better pull but not much.

your not going to see much increase with just a CAI, ANY CAI. Normally they do help with throttle response though. They really help more with other bolt ons like port and polished isntakes. Allows better air flow.

Also it doesnt matter if its K&N (plastic) or BBK (chrome). People say it will heat up the air in the intake ....... but really .... its not in the freaking intake long enough to be heated up that much. Plus I like the chrome look.

the only thing you need to consider with a CAI is :

1. Am I getting a quality filter with the kit or a crappy ass filter.

2. Will it provide a good fit.

They all do the same thing , but don't get a crappy filter , make sure its a quality reoilable filter!

I have a MAC and it works fine. I have had it for 2 years and have had no problems. It goes on easily and fits easily too. It was cheap too. I don't remember exactly how much it cost but not too much.
