You would prob. be wasting your money unless you have some serious mods.

ignition box is a terrible investment.

Did you just buy a k&n air filter for the stock air box? If so that's doing nothing for you at all. You need a cold air intake.

As for other mods that will help. I recommend an exhaust setup, longtube headers will receive the biggest gain for headers but they will not pass emissions. Most v6 owners when they get exhaust done, they add another pipe for true duals. Another bolt-on that is good for our cars are underdriver pullies (UDP's). They slow accessories down so you free up more horsepower. Then for the rear-end for more oomph, you could throw in some gears, 3.73's or 4.10's are the most common, and you could even get an LSD (limited slip differential) installed as well to get rid of that one wheel peel.

As for bolt-ons that just about covers it for performance. Handling you could get lowering springs, shocks & struts, and camber caster plates to dramatically improve handling.

Everything else costs a boat load of money to do, that's why most v6 owners stick with bolt-ons.

Definitely the CAI. I looked at a new ignition box, but I'll worry about that when my stock unit goes south. Exhaust, tuner, CAI.. all good ideas. Gears, suspension, short throw shifter for stick cars... all good mods to add to the fun of owning a v6er. Unless you're looking for a project and have the dough to do it, don't go too nuts over power, just make the car fun to drive. It may not beat a muscle car, but there's also a reason why they only appear on the summer weekends... You can enjoy you're car all year long, and afford to do so!
