That is all subjective. Each person will like one type of paint job vs another.

Me personally I like cars to look clean. That means as little graphics as possible. I simply hate all the decals I see some folks slap on their Mustangs (running horses, huge horse head, way too many stripes and "badging", etc.). But that is just me.

I think the best Mustangs are solid medium to dark colors with either NO stripes on them, or minimal. I also happen to favor "odd" colors. You know, shades that you don't see on most vehicles. And I LOVE colors so dark they almost look black, but are NOT black. Blue and Green are my favorites in that aspect.

If you have ever seen a black Mustang reflecting a deep blue sky, THAT is what I like.... but do it with the paint itself so that it looks that way all the time.

But again, it is all subjective, so you should really just try to find as many Mustang pictures as you can (the galleries here have a wonderful selection) and see what trips YOUR trigger.

What color is your car already?

Complete color changes are tough, and can be difficult to pull off successfully for painters that are not masters of the art.

I've had a lot of "favorites" over the years, and now I'm moving back toward non-traditional colors (think the wild colors Chysler used in the muscle car era).

Bright primary colors reproduce fatastic in photography and print, whereas black, white, silvers and grays are tougher.

Resale Red (red in MANY different shades) is a sound decision for a color change at any time.
