not even close your v6 should be putting out around 230 hp. that lil 4 banger should only be 200 tops even the supercharged version

Actually, you only have 190 horsepower. And yes, if it is the supercharged version, you're toast stock. The '08 ss's actually have 260 horsepower, swapped out the sc for a tc, and run the 1/4 in the low 14's.

Gonna need some work done to hang with the Cobalt SS. They are lighter and are pushing more power than your V6 stang.

If it is just the Cobalt SS then it should be a driver's race. If it is the Cobalt SS/SC then they will murder you unless you have some serious mods. Most of the SS/SC's put out close to the advertised crank hp. GM under-rated them from the factory.

And I have no idea where the one guy got his 230hp from the V6?

yea last i heard on the cobalt ss was that they all came in standard. so unless you have a standard i dont see you keeping up

The regular Cobalt SS came with 170hp and they are not that fast. They are usually a driver's race with a split-port since they are a bit lighter. But you should really be able to take them regardless thanks to your trq.

where do you get 230 hp from? if he has a split port it will be 160 max. the sc cobalt will walk all over him, and the non sc one will prob. win, but its a drivers race there.

^ Where are you getting 160hp from? Or were you talking about at the rear wheels? They put out 190 at the crank, not 230 or 160. lol
